Meet Amy Barrer, DDS
Orthodontist
Dr. Barrer is originally from Providence, RI and comes from a true “dental” family of 12 dentists. She attended Tufts University with a bachelor’s degree in child development. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Maryland. Dr. Barrer completed her Orthodontic training at Washington Hopsital Center in DC, where she was the Chief Resident. In addition, Dr. Barrer was a member of the Craniofacial Team at Children’s National Medical Center. There she worked with a team of talented oral and plastic surgeons dealing with craniofacial anomalies, such as cleft lips and palates. Dr. Barrer is dedicated to providing the highest standard of orthodontic care, by utilizing the latest technologies and techniques. As a member of many local and national organizations including the Americal Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and the Maryland State Dental Association, she is able to regularly participate in continuing education opportunities.
In her free time, Dr. Barrer enjoys spending time with her husband, and children Josie, Reid, Tali and Rhodesian Ridgeback, Ruby. She loves anything outdoors and is a huge sports enthusiast! |
